ABILIT LINGUISTICHE: INPUT E MATERIALS Le attività proposte nelle fasi di INPUT e MATERIALS sono finalizzate a sviluppare abilità di listening, reading, speaking e writing. Il listening è l abilità di ascolto INPUT ed è potenziato grazie alla disponibilità di registrazioni che, all inizio di ogni modulo, introducono al tema fornendo il supporto lessicale necessario. ACTIVITY 3.A Match the following words to their meanings. Il reading è l abilità di lettura ed è potenziato grazie alla presenza, in ogni modulo, di testi corredati di esercizi di lessico e di attività di comprensione graduate. Alcune delle attività proposte richiedono l esercizio dell abilità di speaking. La comunicazione orale in lingua straniera può avvenire con il docente o tra compagni. In ogni caso si tratta di una sfida linguistica e cognitiva che coinvolge anche il piano emotivo. L attività di listening della fase di INPUT è sempre divisa in due parti, in modo da facilitare la concentrazione. Ciascuna delle due parti richiede attività di comprensione linguistica e del contenuto anche con l uso di organizzatori grafici, per esempio mappe concettuali, tabelle o linee del tempo. Questi strumenti consentono di identificare gli eventi chiave in un periodo storico, di ordinarli cronologicamente e di stabilire tra essi relazioni causa-effetto.
