Il CLIL L Unione Europea considera il plurilinguismo dei cittadini europei uno strumento prioritario per favorire la conoscenza reciproca dei popoli, per garantire la coesistenza di comunità linguistiche diverse all interno di determinate aree geografiche, per sostenere i giovani nel loro ingresso nel mondo del lavoro. Per questo fin dal Piano d azione 2004-06, e poi in tutti i documenti successivi, le indicazioni ufficiali pongono l accento su alcuni percorsi ritenuti particolarmente efficaci a questo scopo, primo fra tutti la didattica CLIL. La metodologia CLIL, acronimo di Content and Language Integrated Learning, sta a indicare l apprendimento integrato di una disciplina non linguistica e di una lingua straniera. La normativa italiana prevede l introduzione di percorsi CLIL a partire dal terzo anno del Liceo Linguistico e dal quinto anno per tutti gli Istituti di Istruzione Secondaria di Secondo Grado. Nel testo che viene presentato la lingua straniera è l inglese e la disciplina è la storia. Come sono organizzati i moduli USO DI STRATEGIE: WARM UP E BRAINSTORMING Ogni modulo è introdotto da attività che permettono di recuperare ciò che già si conosce e di presentare un nuovo argomento. Il WARM UP (riscaldamento) è costruito sull analisi di immagini che introducono al tema specifico, fornisce esempi di terminologia disciplinare in inglese e guida il confronto tra situazioni diverse nel tempo (BEFORE-AFTER). WARM UP ACTIVITY 1.A Observe the two images below and write a short paragraph hypothesizing: 1) the consequences of rocket attacks in Syria as in Image A; 2) the causes of mass boat migrations from Libya as in Image B.
