I soggetti economici: le imprese CLIL - MADE IN ITALY economIA AUDIO In the years after the Second World War, the label Made in Italy established itself as a sort of trademark granting originality, genuineness, fine quality, and an internationally acclaimed sense of style. Blending the iconic Italian aesthetics with technology and innovation, a number of successful entrepreneurs managed to create a high valued brand all over the world. The reputation of Made in Italy has granted many products prosperity in the markets, and therefore has assured the vitality of the Italian economy. The main sectors of the Italian manufacturing industry, that is to say the sectors where Italy is most specialised and where a substantial foreign trade surplus is recorded, are the so-called 4 Fs : food and wines; fashion: including not only clothes, but also footwear, leather goods, jewellery, eyewear, cosmetics and perfumery; furniture and building materials: including not only wood products and furniture, but also tiles and other ceramic products and ornamental stones; fabricated metal products and machinery (luxury cars, in particular Ferrari, cruise ships and helicopters, yachts, plastic and rubber products). This includes non-electronic mechanics, like industrial machinery, mechanical equipment, plastic and rubber products, as well as transport equipment and car parts (not finished cars, where Italian trade balance shows a deficit). 1. answer the following questions. 1.
